I know EVERYONE is wondering what happened to us this week (and by everyone I mean my sister who may be the only reader of our blog). Well, we were on vacation and couldn't get our post ready in time. We'll be back Monday with Ernie's thoughts on In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, but for now, thought you might like this photo of the Smokies. This is at the top of Mount LeConte. One of our tablemates for dinner was reading Look Homeward, Angel by Thomas Wolfe which is coming up shortly on our list. The hike was brutal to the top and to the bottom for that matter! But we had fun! For more info on that experience

That would be me. Enjoyed meeting you! Agree the hike was brutal but worth it & eager to share thoughts about Look Homeward Angel.

Thanks Tom. I finally don't hurt anymore and was thinking "wouldn't that be fun to do again" but that's just crazy talk! Sandra
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back and glad you made it. It sounds like fun but a lot of work. I remember when we rode bikes around Cades Cove and somehow I had remembered it being flatter than it was. lmh
